Our Adoption Process
Our adoption process is designed to help ensure the best match for both you and your new pet.
The shelter is open to the public and appointments are not required.
Simply stop by during open hours.
Before You Visit
You must be at least 18 years old to adopt.
A valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, is required.
We ask that everyone in your household come meet the pet to help ensure a good fit.
Meeting Adoptable Animals
Most adoptable cats, dogs, and other animals are available to meet at the shelter.
Animals listed as “fostered” on our website are generally not at the shelter.
To meet foster animals, please contact the shelter to schedule a time.
For Those Adopting a Dog…
If you already have dog(s), you must bring them to meet the dog you would like to adopt.
If you have cat(s), we are able to cat-test the dog prior to adoption.

All adopters are required to complete a simple adoption application.
This helps our team advise you and prepare you for bringing your new pet home.
