Foster an Animal in Need

Fostering gives animals the comfort, stability, and healing they need while they wait for their forever homes.

Why Fostering Makes a Difference

Even with dedicated care, a shelter environment cannot replace the safety and calm of a home. Fostering provides animals with the individualized attention and comfort they need during critical moments in their lives.

By fostering, you help animals…

Prepare emotionally and physically for adoption.

Recover safely from illness, injury, or surgery.

Experience a calm, nurturing environment that supports their well being and confidence.

Along the way, you gain a temporary companion and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on an animal’s future.

Fostering with BACS

Foster volunteers provide temporary homes for animals who need extra support outside the shelter.

This often includes large breed dogs with medical or behavioral needs, adult cats who need a break from the shelter environment, and young kittens who are not yet old enough for adoption.
