Not sure if you’re ready for a forever friend?
Fostering can be a great option.

Why Fostering Makes a Difference

While we do our best to provide the best possible experience for all our animals, being in a shelter isn’t nearly as fun as being in a loving home. If you are able to foster, not only do you get a temporary best friend, but you…

  • Help animals get ready for adoption

  • Keep them safe and comfortable if they’re recovering from illness or injury

  • Provide a calm and stable environment for pets who need the support of a nurturing home to protect their well-being while they await adoption

Fostering at BACS

BACS Foster Volunteers provide a temporary home to shelter residents. Typically the animals needing foster are large bred dogs with behavioral or medical issues, adult cats who need a break from living in the shelter, and underage kittens who are not yet old enough for adoption. To begin the process, please submit an application to volunteer.
